Cosmetic Treatments

Cosmetic Veneers:
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy, and because they are very thin and are held in place by a special strong bond (rather like super-glue) very little preparation of the tooth is needed. Porcelain veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of teeth.‹A precise shade of porcelain can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured or stained tooth or to lighten front teeth (usually the upper ones) generally. Veneers can also be used to close small gaps, when orthodontics (braces) are not suitable. If one tooth is slightly out of position, a veneer can sometimes be fitted to bring it into line with the others.

Fixed Braces:
Fixed appliances or braces are the most commonly used braces today because they allow accurate positioning of the teeth. The braces are securely fixed onto the teeth and cannot be removed by the patient. There are various systems available ranging from the standard metal brackets to clear or aesthetic brackets. Fixed braces are now available with clear brackets, dramatically reducing the visibility of fixed braces. They are particularly popular for adults, where aesthetics are of the utmost importance. Fixed braces – usually take between 6 and 9 months, but could take longer if the problem is severe.

As years have gone by the need for cosmetic dentistry has arisen due to media exposure with various tv and movie stars having makeovers done and this has lead to a great increase for demand and expectations of people to have the best smiles possible.

Cosmetic Dentistry:

Visiting the dentist regularly is a must to maintain good health of your teeth and gums but what if the health of the teeth is not the issue with your teeth rather the looks of it , if that’s the case it can easily be rectified with cosmetic dentistry .

You can straighten your teeth with clear fixed braces, whiten your teeth, and even changed the shape and size of your teeth with Veneers if you are unhappy with them. This can greatly improve your confidence, projecting a happier person.
